Chapter 2, Caroline McDonald
Caroline was a business and Marketing student at Lancaster University and was doing reasonably well. All through the three years at university she had avoided having any involvement with men? During her time at high school she had discovered that she was a natural submissive, she had a long term boyfriend but he was not being masterful enough. Caroline graduated after her first degree and secured a job in a Software house in Nottingham.
She soon made a name for herself as an able leader of people and marketer and was promoted tree times into the line manager position for Product test and Customer Support Division.
When she returned from the funeral of her Mother, she was astonished to find that Robert Wilson had been recruited into her division. She considered this as fate and she was not going to spoil any attempt to date this time. She had avoided men since he stopped asking and regretted her actions ever since.
After Robert had left her office, she called Jack Bridges and asked what he had said to Robert.
Jack was very defensive and said, “I overdid the protection of my team, I have reviewed the copy of the Product we handed over and can confirm that he was right the error code in that section is missing, a review of the development would indicate that it was never written.” Caroline said, “Robert is by far the best Software Engineer in my division and you have jeopardised his staying with us. Apologise to him, this morning, and put this situation right.”
Jack did not apologise before lunch and Robert’s departure. He called fifteen minutes into the lunch break and another member of the tem answered. Jack asked that an apology be forwarded as soon as Robert returned. Tell him the code is being written as I speak and heads will roll.”
The team member that took the call, knocked on Caroline’s door and was she invited him in, He told her of Jacks call and that Robert had left the building.
Caroline was beside herself, she had to repair the situation and make it up to Robert somehow.
Robert walked to the pub where James was waiting and said, “I was right, I need to find somewhere else to work.” James replied, “Not necessary, I have secured something that will help you address this situation.” James handed Robert a small bottle saying, “Put four drops of this into a drink and get Caroline to drink it. Make sure there is only four, any more and permanent brain damage can occur. Once she has drunk it any instructions you give her, will be locked into her deepest subconscious, and can never be changed or deleted. These instructions will last forever.
Robert said, “Has it been tested and how do you know what happens with more than four drops.”
James replied, “You do not want to know. The man tested is in a mental institute.”
They chatted for the remainder of Robert’s lunch period and then Robert returned to the office. When he got to his desk there was a message form Caroline saying she wanted to see him.
He made two mugs of coffee and added four drops of the liquid into Caroline’s mug. He carried the mugs to her office and knocked on the door. Caroline shouted come in and he carried to coffee into her office and handed her a mug.
Caroline said, “I have spoken with Jack and he admits that he was in error the code was missing and is being written now. You should have a new version this afternoon. Although that was not the reason I called you, here …..” Before she could say any more she became glazed and silent.
Robert said, “For the next eight day went you get dressed in the morning you will think you are putting on your underwear but in fact you are forbidden to wear a bra or panties. She left early to try and get her mind in order so she could fight to keep him. Robert was asked by Jack to attend the code review the next day and jack gave an abject apology.
Caroline went home and sat down to think. The only solution she could think of was to throw herself at Robert. She considered all the options for being assertive or submissive and considered that if she wanted him to be Masterful she would have to be submissive.

Robert returned to his desk in the support division and through all the requests from Caroline into the bin. He told his team what had happened and what Jack had concluded. The team were not happy but resigned to another delay. One of the team members went to update Caroline but Robert stayed away.
At three o’clock in the afternoon. Caroline became very uncomfortable, she investigated and found no underwear. On realisation she felt very submissive and needed to speak to Robert. Leaving her office she went in search of him and found him at his desk revising the Acceptance Test Specification. Caroline was feeling very nervous so she called up the Personnel Director and asked for a meeting.
The meeting was at Four thirty in the Personnel Director’s office. Caroline walked up the stairs and knocked on his door. He called out “Enter,” and she did, she explained what had happened with Jack and the Development team. She went on to explain that Robert knew her in University and that he had attempted to take her out.” The Personnel Director asked, “Do you think Robert is of value to the company?” Caroline answered, He has already proved he is a much better manager than Jack and he has saved the company more money than he will earn this year.” The Personnel Director replied, “You are quite smitten by him, are you not. You will need to persuade him to stay. Take him out to dinner and do whatever you need to do to keep him.”
Caroline said, “Yes I will do that, I will go and speak to him now.” She departed feeling very confused, she thought about what the PD had said, only it felt that it was imperative that she do it. Caroline walked to Robert’s cubicle and when he looked up she Mouthed, “I would like to speak.” After Robert had instructed her to talk, she said, “I would like to take you out to dinner so I can apologize and try and keep you here.” Robert replied, “Ok, tonight pick me up at my home address at seven o’clock and wear something sexy.” Caroline replied, “Yes I will do that, see you at seven, and then walked back to her office.
She felt again that Robert had been Masterful and she would do as he directed.” She did not know that she would be unable, not to complete any task as set by him or anyone else.
She worked on the release documentation for the new product for the remainder of the day and left her office at six o’clock, she checked Robert’s personnel file to get his address before she moved on home.

The waitress went to place the order and Caroline asked, “Why have you ordered me a rear steak? I have not eaten beef for two years.” Robert replied, “You will eat what comes on your plate and you will love it.
After a short silence, Robert asked, “When you blew me off in University what was the reason? Did you find me ugly or what.” Caroline replied, “I had developed a rather nasty attitude towards men who did not shape up to my requirements, and I frightened most of them away. I really like you and could even have loved you but I did not want to ruin a possibly good thing. I was hoping you would be strong, like you are now, but you backed off.” Robert replied, “If you think this is strong, wait until you get home. The reason I backed off was that you did not signify my efforts were worth it and I had exams to consider.”
Caroline replied, “I am sorry I did not explain my feelings, but I had also exams to consider.”
At that moment the waitress brought the food and placed it in front of each of them.
Caroline was about to complain when Robert said, “Don’t talk just eat, and move over so this nice waitress can sit down. She was by far the busiest waitress and Robert could see the manager following her every move.
When both plates were empty, Mary came to the table and before taking them away, asked if they would like a desert. Caroline asked for the apple and blackberry crumble and Robert said he would like the same. Robert went to pore more wine into Caroline’s glass and she said, “Thank you but no, I have to drive later.” Robert replied, “Nonsense you will not be driving tonight. I will take you home.”
Caroline was suddenly happy, the thought of Robert coming to her home, she had dreamed of this for more than two years. Mary brought out the deserts and Robert said, “Is this Mary’s latex mackintosh. Robert replied, “If there is one drink missing you will remove your work clothes and spend the rest of the day in your uniform,” before turning and leaving.
Caroline finished the floor and then want around the department asking every member what they would like to drink when she reached Roberts cubicle he was no there. She ask around as to where he was but no one knew. She made all the drinks and an extra coffee for Robert.
Robert had been summoned by the company owner and was being grilled as to what he wanted. Robert assumed someone had found out what he had done to Caroline but the owner recognised his delay in answering and said, “Caroline said, you should be a manager and indicted it should be in the development division.” Robert replied, “I would prefer to stay in support, I’ve got my eyes on Caroline’s post.” The owner replied, “That post is not vacant, so leave it with me.” Robert returned to his cubicle to find a mug of coffee on his desk. He talked to everyone and they all had a drink made by Caroline. Caroline watched him go and thought, “He tells me I love cleaning and suddenly, I do, my life is over, and then she realized that she could not clean Geoffrey’s house because Robert had told her to go shopping.
She continued working for another hour and then she made several phone calls to find a shop that sold latex mackintoshes. When she had established the where-a-bouts of a shop, she realised that she would have to take the afternoon off anyway.
She just got back to work when someone knocked on the door again.
