Golden Coven — Chapter 4

The streets in downtown Everville were teeming with carriages, carts, and pedestrians milling about. Street vendors hawked their wares from tented stalls. Shelves and racks brimmed with a colorful display of local and foreign products. Aromas from fruits, vegetables, foods being cooked, animal products, and miscellaneous goods permeated the air. It was a typical morning in one of the most bustling neighborhoods of the city.

Judith trailed nervously behind Kristy. Although she had agreed to follow Anna’s and Wendolyn’s plan, Judith had an urge to warn Kristy about House Hartelle’s investigation on the Broadleaves. She wasn’t exactly sure that going through with Anna’s plan exactly would be the best choice. Her mind kept weighing on the possible alterations to the plan. Perhaps, she could ask Kristy to forward a warning to the leader of Broadleaves that it wouldn’t be a good idea to make such a large demand on House Hartelle or maybe just release Katrina without any exchange of prisoners to prevent a raid on their hideout that would likely result in heavy casualties on both sides. Since they’ve abducted a high ranking member of House Hartelle, that house and their associates won’t be let go of the matter so easily. It would be just a matter of time before Broadleaf’s hideout is discovered.

Before losing contact with her husband, Caleb, months ago, Judith had suspected that he might be involved in some underground group. But, when she confronted him about it, he was evasive. She suspected some of Caleb’s friends and relatives were participating in underground activities and hoped Caleb wasn’t involved with them or the Broadleaves. Due to Caleb’s involvement in publication and distribution of a controversial pamphlet, she and her family were already under the scrutiny of the local nobles. If Caleb provoked them again, the nobles will likely respond with much less restraint than before, putting their family in grave danger.

As Judith got closer to Kristy, Judith’s thoughts rapidly shifted from worrying about her family to lusting over Kristy’s body. The girl had matured since Judith had last seen her, growing into a beautiful young woman. There was an explosion of feelings within Judith’s body. Her latex bra and panties undulated and shifted, constantly teasing her breasts and pussy. Despite wearing a drab kirtle dress, Kristy’s curves still showed through it wonderfully. Erotic fantasies came automatically to Judith, heralded by flashes of green light. Thoughts of having lesbian sex Kristy in many positions filled her mind. Her breathing quickened and she was gasping from the extremely vivid mental imagery. Judith had to force herself to calm herself down and slow her walking pace to not arouse suspicion before moving closer to Kristy. But, the girl was suddenly moving quickly, and she had to give chase to not lose sight of the girl.

Kristy was alarmed by quickening footsteps behind her, turned around, and noticed a well-endowed woman wearing a fashionable dress, a wide-brimmed Edwardian floral and feathered straw hat, and thick make-up. Purple teardrop earrings dangled from the woman’s ears. The woman’s face looked familiar, so she didn’t immediately walk away despite her instincts warning her.

“Kristy, is that you?”

Judith’s voice was immediately recognizable to Kristy. “Judith? I haven’t seen you in ages. What happened?”

Questions arose in Kristy’s mind. Why was Judith dressed like this? How did her appearance change so drastically? It was almost as if Judith was a different person.

“After Caleb’s sentence was commuted, I began working for House Hartelle, but my husband didn’t want me to do it even though it would keep our family safe legally and financially...”

Kristy’s face wrinkled from a mixture of emotions. She was sure if she was mad or sad at Judith’s revelation but, after a few moments, her expression relaxed because she knew it wasn’t unusual for commoners to work for the nobles either out of desperation, for social mobility, or because of extortion. In Judith’s case, Kristy believed Judith’s story that was forced to work for the Hartelles, like some of the people she knew. It was unlikely for Caleb’s sentence to be commuted without some sort of catch.

“You worked for them in exchange for your family’s safety...”

Nodding her head, Judith continued, “I had no choice. It was either agreeing to work for them or having Caleb go to prison and losing custody of our children...”

“I’m very sorry this happened to you and your family, Judith...”

“I miss my husband and children so much. I haven’t seen them for so long. Do you know where they might be?”

“Sorry, I can’t tell you where they are, but I promise they’re safe.”

“Why? Kristy, you know I won’t tell anyone. Are you doubting me?” Judith was on the verge of sobbing.

“It’s not that I don’t trust you—” The watch on Kristy’s wrist suddenly vibrated. She looked at the largest dial and noticed it pointing in the south direction. “Someone might be following us, we need to go somewhere else. Follow me!”

They walked hastily through the crowd and into an alley that branched off into multiple paths. Stopping at what appeared to be a dead end, Kristy lifted a manhole cover and gestured to Judith to climb down the ladder.

“Go down there?” Judith looked at the hole with disgust.

“Come on, we don’t have much time!”

Judith reluctantly climbed down the ladder, followed by Kristy after sprinkling a special blue powder on the manhole cover and around it. Once she replaced the manhole cover, it adopted a camouflage that blended itself perfectly among the surrounding cobblestone pavement.

From her canvas bag, Kristy produced a hand lamp and pressed a recessed switch. Powered by manacite crystals, the lamp glowed with a blue-tinged white light. Nearby rats squeaked and scurried away. The hand-size cockroaches casually skittered away from their paths but didn’t feel too threatened by the presence of the woman and girl.

“Where are we going?” Judith felt like retching from the foul smell of the sewage running along the whole path they were walking on.

“Somewhere safe from surveillance.”

Despite the unpleasant environment, Judith continued to have lustful fantasies about Kristy while ogling the girl’s rear. She knew she shouldn’t be feeling this way towards the girl and her feelings were induced by magic, but it was too difficult to resist the temptation. Instead of fighting those feelings, it was so much easier to just let them happen. She had attempted to resist unsavory lesbian thoughts and impulses many times in the past, and failed almost every time. Any successful resistance she managed to put up against the magic of the Hartelles was short-lived. She knew this constant struggle was detrimental to her psyche in the long run but had no choice but to endure this for the sake of her family.

Stopping at a wall section that looked nothing out of the ordinary, Kristy touched a brick that looked slightly darker than the surrounding bricks. A rectangular outline formed on the wall, which then opened inward like a door and revealed a new passageway. Judith continued following Kristy, who was completely unaware of the woman’s amorous interest in her body. The magical latex bra and panties were teasing Judith’s nipples and clit while contracting and expanding in subtle undulating movements. Judith’s breathing quickened and became audible.

Kristy turned around and asked, “Are you okay?”

“I-I’m fine...just a little claustrophobic...” Judith smiled nervously.

“I was like you when I first went inside the sewer. It can be unsettling when you’re not used to the tight spaces. Please bear it a little longer. We’re almost there.”

After walking no more than two dozen steps, Judith grunted. When Kristy looked at the woman again, she saw her fidgeting uncomfortably and blushing. “Judith, are you sure you’re alright?”

Wrapping her arms around herself, Judith replied, “I-I...need to take a break...”

When Kristy touched Judith’s head with her hand to check for a possible fever, Judith let out a gasp. The girl’s fingers touching her forehead was enough to make her pussy quiver.

“Your head is a bit warm, but it might be just because of physical exertion.”

Feeling woozy, Judith’s body suddenly tilted to the side. Kristy grabbed Judith’s left arm to help the woman maintain her balance. Judith moaned from the contact. The erotic tone in Judith’s voice made Kristy feel uneasy but chalked it up as being due to the woman’s stress.

“Can we rest here for a bit, please? My limbs feel kind of sore.”

Judith took a breath and exhaled. “Alright.”

“Thank you.”

Soft gasps emitted from Judith’s lips as Kristy helped the woman sit down on the floor. At this point, Kristy noticed more strongly the scent of lavender perfume on Judith’s body. It was almost as if a bottle of the perfume had been spilled but Kristy thought it was just the confined space making the perfume more noticeable. They sat next to each other on the opposite sides of the passageway.

Judith looked at Kristy with half-lidded eyes while sticking her tongue out slightly, and biting her lower lip. Those actions combined with the woman’s heavy make-up of shimmering lavender lipstick, green satin eyeshadow, and long thick lashes gave Kristy the impression that Judith was a whore. Kristy briefly wondered if Judith was flirting with her but quickly felt disgusted at the thought and dismissed it as just a result of her overactive imagination.

Wanting to know more about Judith’s experience under the Hartelles, Kristy tried to open her mouth to ask a question, but then the twinkling of the teardrop purple earrings on Judith’s ears caught her attention, and she hesitated. For some reason, the earrings were much more noticeable now. Kristy was unable to look away from the earrings despite knowing that it was odd to be so focused on them. She had seen women with earrings before, but Judith’s earrings in particular were more eye-catching than those she had seen in the past. A strong urge grew within Kristy to get close to Judith to see those earrings more closely and perhaps touch them.

“Is there something about me that interests you?” asked Judith in a husky tone, sending erotic shivers up Kristy’s spine, alarming the girl.

“No, I mean yes... It’s those earrings...” Kristy stammered.

Raising her left hand to her ear, Judith flicked an earring, causing it to flash and sparkle with purple light. “I received a lot of compliments about my earrings. Why don’t you come take a closer look at them?”

“I...” Something about the situation felt strange to Kristy but she wasn’t able to understand why. However, she knew she had to get closer to those earrings. They were one of most bewitching objects she had ever seen. “...I do want to look at them...”

Kristy got on her fours and shuffled close to Judith’s left side until her face was right next to the woman’s left ear. She could feel butterflies in her stomach from Judith’s gentle breathing on her cheek and the contact of Judith’s leg with her own.

“It looks beautiful, doesn’t it?” uttered Judith with a low, breathy voice.

“Yes...it’s...so...beautiful...” Kristy responded monotonously while looking at the earring. She could see a glowing white spiral with multiple arms spinning slowly inside the purple gem. It was like the spiral was trying to pull her into its grasp. Feeling a sudden, inexplicable compulsion, Kristy moved her lips to the earring and kissed it. A torrent of pleasure went through her body. Feeling bolder, the girl began licking the earring and the woman’s ear.

A soft, titillating moan exited Judith’s lavender-lipsticked lips. “Mmmmmmmmmmmm.... Ohhhhhhh....”

As Kristy continued licking, her lips acquired a layer of glitter. A metallic purple color spread over the girl’s lips. Suddenly becoming consciously aware of what she was doing, Kristy pulled back and immediately apologized.

“I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to do that! I don’t know what came over me.”

“It’s alright, dear. I wasn’t offended by what you did. Since you like my earrings so much, would you like to wear them?”

“I’m not sure if that would be appropriate for a girl like me. I’ve never worn earrings before.”

“You’re such a pretty girl. They’ll look great on you.“

Kristy’s heart fluttered at Judith’s mention of the word “pretty”. Without waiting for the girl’s response, Judith took off her clip-on teardrop-shaped earrings.

“Turn your head to the side. I’ll help you put them on.”

Unable to refuse Judith’s offer, Kristy did what Judith asked. When the earring was put on her left ear, Kristy gasped as a surge of pleasure shot through her spine. She turned her head to the left side under the gentle push of Judith’s soft fingers.

“Now you look like a pretty girl,” complimented Judith with a husky voice while holding Kristy’s head with both hands, forcing Kristy to look at her in the eyes.

A sudden urge to kiss Judith came to Kristy, confusing her. She was never interested in women before. What was going on?

“Are you fine now? We should get going.” Kristy broke out of Judith’s grasp. What was I thinking?!

“Yes, I feel okay now... Where are we going again?”

Raising her fingers up to her right earring, Kristy wanted to remove it. She didn’t know why she had let Judith put earrings on her ears. The earrings did look pretty, but something about them felt odd. Looking at her watch briefly, the dial indicating the nearby presence of magic remained near zero. There wasn’t anything to worry about despite what her instincts told her. Licking her lips, Kristy noticed they tasted like grapes, not noticing that they were now coated with a transparent layer of glossy purple color.

“To the safe house where you would be staying for a while. They’ll probably be looking for you soon.”

“How long would I have to stay? I really want to see my husband and children.”

“It’s too risky to leave the city now. The city gates are heavily guarded, and there are patrols outside of the city as well. We also have more people to help who are in a similar situation as you are.”

“Can you at least tell me where my family is, please?” Judith pleaded.

“Like I said, I can’t tell you. But, when the time is right, I’ll take you to your family.”

A flash of anger appeared on Judith’s face, almost frightening Kristy, before it was quickly replaced with a warm smile. “I understand... I’m not trying to make things difficult for you... I’m just very worried about my family...”

“You don’t have to worry, Judith. Your family is under our protection. Oh, I forgot to tell you. I’m part of the Broadleaves. You might have heard about them before.”

“Yes, I’ve read about them in the local news bulletins. They were accused of many crimes, but a lot of them sound exaggerated. I’ve heard rumors that the Broadleaves are actually an organization fighting for justice.”

“Then you know our purpose. We’re helping people like you, victims of oppression from the unscrupulous nobles...”

Tapping and skittering sounds echoed down the passageway.

“Let’s go. We’ve already stopped for a long time.” Kristy glanced at her watch.

“Are they following us?” Judith turned around and looked back.

“It’s probably just vermin.”

“I’m very scared. Can we hold hands please?”

Kristy looked at Judith skeptically for a few moments, then offered her hand. “Alright.”

Almost immediately, Judith held Kristy’s hand and interlocked her fingers with it. Kristy gasped from the unexpected, pleasurable sensation and was surprised by her own reaction. Soon after they continued walking down the passageway, Kristy began having salacious thoughts of the older woman. She imagined herself engaging in an open-mouthed kiss with Judith with their tongues visibly intertwining. The scene then rapidly shifted to her sucking on a pert nipple on one of Judith’s large breasts. Before she could even fully process what she was seeing in her mind, the scene changed to her holding onto Judith’s spread legs and licking the woman’s pussy. Shocked by the mental imagery, Kristy abruptly released Judith’s hand and moved away from Judith.

“Is something wrong, Kristy?”

“I..I...”

Looking around herself, Kristy struggled to think about where she needed to go or what to do. Without realizing it, she licked her lips in a seductive manner. The translucent purple color on her lips had now grown into a thick, glittery purple coating with a metallic sheen. Her eyes checked Judith out, scanning the woman’s legs, hips, waist, chest, neck, and face. For some reason, she couldn’t resist looking at the woman.

“I...don’t know what’s...going on...” Kristy pressed her hands to her head. “What am I supposed to be doing?”

“You need to make love...” answered Judith slowly in a low voice.

“Make love?”

“...with me..”

Kristy was shocked by the answer. She wasn’t a lesbian, yet she found the prospect of having sex with Judith inexplicably exciting. But, she knew her current thoughts and feelings were unusual. The earrings on Kristy’s ears glowed. Sharp sensations of arousal passed through Kristy’s body, causing her to arch her back and give off a moan of pleasure. Kristy’s eyelashes became long and curly. Her eyelids sparkled from the sudden appearance of satiny pink eyeshadow.

“Make love...” repeated Kristy with the same breathy, seductive voice as Judith.

“Make love...” affirmed the older woman.

A voice told Kristy that this was what she wanted to do all along with Judith. However, Kristy was hesitant to believe what the voice told her. She didn’t remember ever being attracted to Judith at all, let alone being interested in women. A tingling, warm feeling passed upwards through her body. Memories that felt very real to Kristy came to her vividly. She would sneak quick glances at Judith whenever the chance arose, taking in the sight of face, hair, bodily curves, legs, and ass. Sometimes, she would look at Judith for much longer while appreciating her beauty and sexual allure. Whenever she masturbated, Judith was always in her mind, and Kristy would always imagine having sapphic sex with the beautiful woman.

A soft, protracted moan escaped from Kristy’s glittery purple-painted lips as the erotic false memories played back in her mind repeatedly. Despite the realism of her supposed memories, a part of Kristy remained skeptical. She furrowed her brow and contorted her face. The visions kept flooding into her. Closing her eyes only made the imagery appear more vivid. As tempting the imagery was, Kristy was unable to shake off the feeling that the images weren’t real. Bit by bit, Kristy brought back her willpower and slowly retreated a short distance away from Judith.

At first, Judith showed no response to Kristy’s rejection, but then a faint, wicked smile formed on the older woman’s face. Kristy tried to back away further but shockingly found herself unable to move any part of her body, not even her face.

“There’s no need for you to resist, Kristy. Just embrace your feelings, and I’ll promise you will have pleasures beyond your imagination...” Judith caressed Kristy’s cheeks, grazing them with her long, tapered purple-lacquered nails. She then grabbed Kristy’s chin and kissed the younger woman, whose mouth opened under the control of an unseen force. Kristy’s tongue automatically slipped into Judith’s mouth, accompanied by a muffled moan. Her body pushed forward, pressing her smaller breasts against Judith’s larger ones.

A loud rumbling sound passed through the carriage that Anna, Wendolyn, and Bridgette were riding in.

“Rats, we’ve lost communication with Magdalena’s pendant!” Wendolyn clenched the golden frame of her handheld rectangular mirror tightly when a screen of blue light replaced the luminous pink text that appeared on it moments before.

Anna looked at the watch-like device on her left wrist. “The magimeter detected a huge spike of magical energy. That might have been the cause of it.”

“An accident...”

“Most likely.”

“It’s been quite a while since a magical explosion of this scale happened within the city.”

“We should hear about this from the incident bureau shortly. Once the magic wave clears, we should be able to reestablish the link to her pendant.”

After a minute, the blue screen remained. “It’s still not working. She must be close to the accident and within the magical cloud.”

“Should we go check on her? If she’s within the magical cloud, then something might have happened to her.”

“I think we should wait for information from the bureau, and besides, we’re a long ways from her. It wouldn’t be the best use of our time to search for Magdalena now.”

“But she’s working on a good lead to find Katrina.”

“We can check back on her later. In the worst case, if anything happens to her, we still have Bridgette. She can be the new Magdalena.” Wendolyn smirked as she touched Bridgette’s thigh through the sheer stocking and caressed it.

There was no response from Bridgette to Wendolyn’s touch. She kept staring ahead blankly with an expressionless face as Wendolyn’s hand glided along her leg.

A horse-drawn carriage and freight wagon collided together and turned over at an intersection two blocks from the western end of Mulberry Bridge. One that served as a public transport had its dozen passengers thrown off. The other, carrying magical products and ingredients, spilled its cargo into the cobblestone street, damaging the storage containers it was carrying. Magical liquids and powders mixed together, creating a magical fire and an explosion, resulting in thick, billowing and noxious clouds of bright pink and purple miasma that rapidly spread across its surroundings. Five luminous pink spheres of light emerged from the source of explosion and wandered around in a seemingly aimless manner. One of the spheres hovered in front of a dazed woman, who looked at the strange glowing object in bewilderment. Before she could fully process what was happening, the sphere flew right at her face and entered her mouth...

“Hey ma’am, are you alright?”

Magdalena slowly opened her eyes and saw the face of a modest but well-dressed woman who appeared to be in her mid-forties or early fifties wearing a modest dress, a brimmed floral straw hat, and her dark brown hair tied into a bun. For a moment, she thought she saw a pink glow in the woman’s eyes. “I think so... Ughhh...” She felt a dull headache when attempting to recall what had occurred earlier, but there was nothing but haze in her mind. “What happened?”

“There was a traffic accident that caused an explosion. It’s not safe here because of the ongoing magical fire. We need to leave this area now.”

Looking around, Magdalena saw debris on the cobblestone street but couldn’t see that far out because of a strange pink fog, but she could hear voices shouting and crying in the distance. She looked at herself and noticed her dress was torn at the skirt and sleeves. Not knowing what to do, she accepted the stranger’s help and let the woman assist her in standing up. The woman held Magdalena’s wrist securely as she guided her through the dense fog. Magdalena felt a slight sense of unease at a stranger holding her hand for so long but wanted to remain polite and didn’t protest.

“Where are we going?”

“To my shop. It’s five blocks up ahead.”

“Five blocks up ahead?” Some memories came back to Magdalena. “I need to visit someone who also runs a shop that’s around that location.”

“I might know that person. Would you mind telling me who you’re looking for?”

“Louisa Gaunliena.”

“What a coincidence, that’s me!” Louisa smiled widely.

“Really?”

“Yes, I’m Louisa Gaunliena, the owner of Gaunliena’s General Store. What business do you have with me? Are you looking to purchase something?”

“I-I...don’t remember...”

“Do you remember what happened earlier in the day or even the day before?”

After a long pause, Magdalena answered, “No... I can’t remember anything...”

“It’s an effect of the magical blast... Even though you weren’t physically hurt, the psychic component of the explosion caused some memory loss. But, don’t worry, I know some treatments for recovering from shock-induced memory loss.”

The facade of Louisa’s shop looked very similar to the surrounding businesses, but its large wooden sign carved with the name of the shop in bright purple stylized letters made it stand out. Louisa unlocked the glass-paned green door with a bronze key and closed it after they had both entered. She flipped the “On Break” sign hanging on the door to “Closed”.

Magdalena looked at the interior of the shop curiously, noticing the assortment of common household wares, tools, ceramics, clothing, packaged food items, and other consumables, unaware that the shopkeeper was eyeing up her body.

Surprised by her ogling of Magdalena’s body, Louisa immediately looked away. She didn’t know why she had chosen to help Magdalena in particular, and why she felt this inexplicable attraction towards the woman. Perhaps it was because of the effects of the magical cloud, but she had never heard of such accidents producing this kind of effect on people. Very precise processes are required even with the correct ingredients.

From what she knew, the usual symptoms from exposure to industrial magical mixtures were headaches, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. In some cases, it would cause hallucinations, personality changes, memory loss, insanity, and even transformations but those are rare. The magimeter she wore on her left wrist didn’t show anything too hazardous, just slightly elevated levels of negative energy. While concerning, it wasn’t high enough to be dangerous. She expected emergency services to take care of the aftermath and everything would be back to normal soon.

“You can look at my wares later after your memories are recovered. Let’s head on towards the back.”

Louisa led Magdalena to a door that opened to a small corridor. Immediately to the left was a door that opened to an office and to the right was a storage room.

“Here, you can sit on the sofa there. I’ll go prepare the medicine that helps with memory recovery.”

Magdalena sat on the blue wool sofa in the office as directed. But, right after Louisa turned around, the woman called out, “Wait!”

“Is something the matter?”

“I don’t know... I-I just have a strange feeling...like something bad is about to happen...”

Without thinking, Magdalena moved her right to her pendant, which pulsed in a pink color when she touched it. The dazzling display immediately drew Lousia’s attention, and an inexplicable warm, pleasant feeling passed through the shopkeeper’s body. She had an unexpected urge to get closer to Magdalena, but then suddenly remembered the modus operandi of Hartelle operatives. They would frequently seduce their victims with magic, often hidden in jewelry.

Forcing herself to look away, Louisa tried to hide her shock and fear. What first appeared to be a woman in need of help now looked like an aggressor seeking prey. “You don’t have to worry. You’re safe here. Everything will be alright. Just wait a bit for the medicine,” replied Lousia with a shaky voice.

Walking away quickly, Louisa wondered if Magdalena might be faking her memory loss. But, why would she need to? It seemed more likely for Magdalena’s memory loss to be genuine. Either way, she needed to act fast. Instead of preparing memory recovery medicine, she would give the woman a drink that would knock her out. She could then take Magdalena back outside and have emergency services take care of her. But, if Hartelles were already suspecting Louisa of being involved with the Broadleaves, it would only buy her time.

Inside a small kitchen adjacent to the office, Louisa began preparing the knockout potion. She thought about the safety of her daughter, who would be returning in about an hour or so after doing errands, and her son, who was currently working and living in another city. The Broadleaves had promised her to protect them if they’re in danger, and told her they had a contingency plan for such an event. Optimistically, Louisa considered the possibility that perhaps Magdalena was just trying to seduce her for reasons other than her being suspected being associated with Broadleaves. The Hartelles and their associates were known to choose their victims somewhat randomly based on their fancy. Although Louisa was helping the Broadleaves, she worked mostly on the sidelines. It seemed unlikely for them to suspect her.

[Everything will be fine.]

Yes, everything will be fine.

The image of Magdalena’s bright red lips briefly occupied Louisa’s mind as she was preparing the ingredients for the potion. Various bottles and burlap bags filled with miscellaneous magical and non-magical ingredients were placed on the countertop.

[Magdalena is pretty.]

I shouldn’t think about her.

Forcing the inappropriate thought away, Louisa continued her task. But, she didn’t get much further ahead before she was interrupted again by the image of Magdalena’s shimmering red lips. The tip of Magdalena’s tongue brushed slowly between them.

[I want to get close to Magdalena.]

I need to work faster.

Louisa subconsciously rubbed her thighs together to ease the growing arousal she was feeling. She found herself faltering due to the unwanted thoughts and stepped away from the counter. When she saw her reflection on a metal teapoint, she noticed something unusual. She had fewer white hairs and her skin was smoother. Was it just her imagination or did she look younger?

This must be a hallucination.

She pushed herself to continue her task.

Prudence walked through the door into her mother’s shop and immediately closed the door behind her. She placed a heavy bag of goods on the counter then breathed a sigh of relief as she looked at the pink cloud outside the store’s display window. Looking for her mom, she walked towards the back of the store and noticed that the office door was slightly ajar. With one hand, she pushed it fully open.

“Mo—”

The sight of an unfamiliar woman made Prudence’s heart skip a beat.

“Who are you, and where’s my Mom?!”

“Oh, you must be Louisa’s daughter. My name is Magdalena. I was caught in an accident that...somehow gave me amnesia... Your mother was kind enough to help me... She’s preparing a potion right now in the kitchen that she says would restore my memories...”

Caught by the glint of Magdalena’s pendant, the 18-year-old girl didn’t immediately reply. Prudence had seen many pendants before, but for some reason this one was very alluring. She stood in place without any movement or expression with her eyes fixated on the glowing pink gem.

“Miss?” Magdalena looked down. “Oh, you must be looking at my pendant. It looks pretty, doesn’t it? I don’t remember where I got this pendant from, but it feels very important to me...”

With no response from the girl, a strange compulsion came to Magdalena. She parted her glossy red lips and licked them slightly while looking at the girl straight in the eyes. Despite not knowing why she was performing such an action, it felt right to do it. She needed to do it. When she stood up from the sofa, the girl’s eyes followed the changing position of the pendant and didn’t react when the woman walked closer to her.

“Prudence!” Louisa’s eyes widened at the close proximity between her daughter and Magdalena.

The girl jumped a little when she heard the sound of her mother’s voice. Realizing how close she was to Magdalena, Prudence walked back a few steps.

“Mom...I...umm...”

“Did you get the supplies?” asked Louisa with a calm voice.

“Yes, I did, Mom. They’re on the counter out at the front. What happened earlier?”

“There was a carriage accident that caused an explosion five blocks away. I was lucky enough not to be in the range of the blast, but Magdalena, the woman here, was hurt and lost her memories. Fortunately, I found her and brought her here.”

“Is that the potion?”

“Yes, here it is, nice and warm!” The potion was white milky yellow in color and contained in a regular glass cup.

“Thanks.”

“It’s a bit thick, so you might want to drink it slowly.”

Louisa’s hands trembled slightly as she handed the cup over to Magdalena. She couldn’t resist stealing glances at the woman’s body. Her daughter noticed her mom’s behavior but didn’t think much of it. Suddenly, Louisa grabbed Prudence’s upper arm and led her into the kitchen. “I need to speak to you. Come with me.”

With a hushed voice, Louisa warned her daughter, “She’s an agent of the Hartelles.”

“How do you know?” asked Prudence with an equally low voice.

“Her pendant. It’s playing tricks on my mind and trying to draw me to her. If you continue staying here, it’ll affect you too. I didn’t realize it until I brought her here.”

“What should we do?!”

“The drink I gave her is a knockout potion. Fortunately, she seemed to have lost her memories, but the magic of her pendant is still deadly. Once she falls asleep, I’ll take off her pendant, and you’ll deliver it to the Broadleaves. But, before that, we will have to move her outside.”

“Mom, are you sure this is the right thing to do?”

“She won’t remember anything after the accident. The knockout potion also disrupts short term memories. If she really is investigating us, this will buy us some time at least.”

“Why don’t we go together?”

“You need to go alone. I’ll have to stay here and watch the shop. I’m not sure if we are even suspected by them for being associated with the Broadleaves. It might just be one of their random hunts for victims.”

“But staying here might not be safe. What if they send people to arrest you?”

“They would’ve done so already if they really believed that I’m involved with the Broadleaves.” Louisa took a breath. “Wait here. I’ll go take a look at her.”

Slowly walking out of the kitchen and closing the door behind her, she peeked inside her office and noticed that the nearly empty cup was on the floor and Magdalena was lying in an ungraceful manner on the sofa. One thigh was exposed from the long tear on the skirt. Louisa had an urge to run her hand along the exposed skin of the leg but forced herself to stop. She slowly reached behind Magdalena’s neck to unhook the chain of the necklace and gasped when her fingers brushed against the woman’s skin. Removing the necklace quickly, she placed it in a thick black bag made from specially treated anti-magic leather. Breathing a sigh of relief, she turned around and was startled at the sight of her daughter standing in the doorway. The girl’s eyes were focused intently on the sleeping woman.

“I told you to wait in the kitchen!”

“You were away for so long... I thought you needed help...” Prudence looked briefly at her mom before returning her attention back to Magdalena.

Was it really that long?

It felt like it took less than a minute.

“She’s asleep now. Help me carry her outside.”

“Now?! It’s dangerous. The magical cloud is still out there, and it seems to be spreading fast and becoming more dense.”

Louisa walked out to the front of the store and saw that the pink cloud had spread to her street. It was much thicker before, so thick that she couldn’t even see what was beyond the window. Looking at her magimeter, the reading was much higher than the last time she checked it. She stepped back from the display window with dread. Heading to the counter, she turned on the magiceiver but only got static and garbled speech. There seemed to be an official announcement but she couldn’t make out what was being said. The sound of footsteps made her turn around.

“And I think it’s immoral to put her outside when it’s so dangerous! The miasma will kill her. We aren’t even sure if she’s really a Hartelle agent!”

There was an abrupt splat sound followed by another a few moments later. Peering out the window, Lousia gasped when she saw two pigeons lying on the ground that seemed to be dead.

“But, I can feel her magic affecting me, and I’m sure you can feel it too. The pendant she’s wearing is enchanted with seductive magic.”

“You know that can also be caused by the magical cloud. It’s not like we haven’t been in this situation before. The type of pendant she’s wearing isn’t that unusual. Enchanted jewelry like that is commonly sold in the black market. And besides, you already have her pendant sealed inside the anti-magic bag, so we are safe from whatever magic it has.”

“While I’m not absolutely certain she’s working for the Hartelles, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Appearances can be deceiving. Powerful artifacts can look very ordinary. We need to deliver the pendant to the Broadleaves and warn them. If she is really an agent of the Hartelles, an analysis of the pendant would confirm it and might provide valuable intelligence as well.”

“But we should wait until the cloud clears.”

“It could take a long time. The Hartelles might notice her missing by then and search for her. That would put us in danger...”

“Mom, we definitely can’t put her out there!”

Louisa took a deep breath. “There’s something you can use to protect yourself against the miasma.”

“What’s that?”

“You can wear the anti-magic suit. It should protect you from the harmful effects of the cloud.”

“We have an anti-magic suit? Why didn’t you tell me about it before?!”

“I got it from the Broadleaves not long ago. They asked me to keep it for them, but allowed me to use it if the need arose. It was part of the loot that they stole from a noble’s armory. I was planning to tell you when the time was right. The reason I didn’t tell you earlier was because I was afraid it might be dangerous.”

“Dangerous... Why would protective gear be dangerous?”

“They think it’s a prototype or custom-made suit...so it might not work as well as it should, or it might have hidden functions...”

“Mom, you’re too concerned about safety sometimes. If we don’t at least try, we would be sitting ducks.”

“You’re right. There’s too much at risk now. Whether she’s a Hartelle agent or not, we still have to inform the Broadleaves. Let’s go to the basement.”

At the floor below, Louisa pressed a hidden switch on a brick wall that revealed an entrance to a room filled with boxes. She retrieved a wooden briefcase and opened it, revealing a one-piece form-fitting bodysuit made from a glossy black rubbery material that covered the whole body except for the head and a pearlescent white Venetian-style mask.

Prudence took the briefcase upstairs to her bedroom and, following her mother’s instructions, stripped herself naked and put on the suit. The suit seemed oversized, but once she put it on, the suit magically shrunk to conform with the shape of her body. She slid her hands slowly along the curves of her body while looking at herself in the full body mirror, noticing how well the suit fitted, almost like a second skin. For some reason, she felt excited. Suddenly the collar of the suit moved, grew upwards, covered her whole face and hair, preventing her from breathing and seeing. She pulled on the shiny rubber-like material covering her face frantically and was about to scream but then relaxed when she realized she could breathe and see again despite her face being entirely covered. Standing in front of the mirror, Prudence felt she looked like a lifeless mannequin. The realization of her inhuman, artificial appearance both unsettled and thrilled her at the same time.

Touching her face, she was surprised that it was like touching her skin directly. There was no loss of tactile sensation from the shiny, rubbery layer. There were also inexplicable, pleasurable sensations from her touching. Sliding her hands downward, she noticed the same effect on the rest of her body. Her mouth opened in an O-shape and emitted soft moans. The inside of her mouth was completely gloved by the rubbery skin as well, including her tongue.

When she moved her tongue around, it started to become longer and thicker, growing into a large, phallic shape. Shocked by the sudden alteration of her tongue, she tried to push it back in her mouth but was surprised by the strong spike of pleasure she felt as she did so.

What’s happening to me?! I need to ask Mom for help!

A depraved vision intruded her mind. She saw herself kneeling between Magdalena’s naked thighs and thrusting her large, rubbery oral phallus deeply into the woman’s cunt, causing her to moan loudly. Prudence’s pussy quivered at the strange fantasy. Before the vision proceeded further, there was a loud knock on the door.

“Prudence!”

When Prudence looked in the mirror again, her tongue was back to normal. Was it just a hallucination caused by the suit? She walked to the door and opened it.

“You were in your room for a long time. I was worried.”

“I was putting on the suit. It wasn’t easy.”

“Did anything unusual happen?”

There was a delay before Prudence replied, “I think I experienced a hallucination.”

“What do you see?”

“I-I don’t remember...” Prudence lied.

“The Broadleaves assured me that this suit is safe but might be sometimes unstable. Hallucination is one of the main effects you might experience, but they should be manageable. Just remain focused and don’t get distracted.”

There was a sudden sound from downstairs. “I’ll go check the noise. She might have awakened. Finish putting on the suit. If you hear someone outside, don’t open the door unless you hear my voice.”

“Okay, Mom.”

Turning around, Lousia hastily walked away and closed the door behind her.

Prudence cautiously touched the white mask with her rubber-coated fingers, grazing them slowly across its surface. It was in the shape of a woman’s face with holes for the eyes and mouth and no special decorations. Slowly, she raised the mask with both hands to her face while looking at the mirror. Once the inner surface of the mask touched her cheeks, the mask immediately shrank to conform to the shape of her face. The area behind each eye hole, which was covered by the rubber layer, now glowed with an eerie blue color.

Noticing that her breasts have become larger, she raised her hands and touched them. She gasped with unexpected excitement. They were real and not a hallucination. The chest area on the rubber suit somehow automatically added extra padding to enhance her bust without dampening any external sensation but enhancing it as well.

I can’t get distracted.

Turning away from the mirror, Prudence quickly put her clothes back on and wore a wide brim straw hat with a blue band tied into a bow. She opened the door and quietly walked down the stairs, remembering what her mother had said earlier. It was completely quiet. Slowly, she crept towards the door to the room where Magdalena lay unconscious. The door was slightly ajar. Gently, she pushed the door just enough to see what might be going on. Prudence’s eyes opened widely as she covered her gasping mouth. Lousia was kneeling next to Magdalena, squeezing one of the sleeping woman’s breasts with one hand. Prudence couldn’t believe her eyes.

“Mom, what are you doing?”

Louisa’s hands quickly retracted. “I-I...I’m sorry... I didn’t mean to... The residual magic of the pendant must still be affecting me...”

Prudence wanted to believe her mom, yet she felt some doubt. She felt herself being drawn to Magdalena too, but at least she was able to control herself. However, even as she was wondering about her mom’s intentions, she couldn’t resist looking at Magdalena’s body again.

“Mom, are you sure you can handle this while I’m gone?”

“Yes, the effects of the pendant should subside before long. In the worst case, I can drink a sleeping potion... Now, don’t dally any longer, take this bag. Remember not to open it under any circumstances...”

Accepting the bag, Prudence placed it into her belt pouch. “Mom, I promise I’ll come back as soon as possible once I’ve completed the task. I’ll also ask them for more protective gear against miasma.”

Lousia walked Prudence to the door and hugged her. Prudence felt an unexpected, pleasurable tingling sensation in her clit when their bodies touched, and she broke the hug quickly.

“Take care, Mom.”

With a few quick movements, Prudence quickly opened the door and closed it before venturing into the heavily fogged street. She paused and turned around and looked at her mother for a few moments before continuing. After watching her daughter disappear into the pink fog, Lousia turned back towards the inside of the store and walked hastily towards the back. She mentally debated on whether to enter her office or the kitchen.

It’s been six years since she had last seen her husband. He went on a business trip to scout for new suppliers in Drium Thua but never returned. Rumors said he was killed by the Thuan bandits, but she found that hard to believe. Her husband was traveling with a group on a well-known route that was frequently patrolled, and he was also a veteran and heavily armed, like the other members of the group. Something else must have happened.

Her thoughts about her husband waned as she entered into her office, which she didn’t realize until she stepped inside. The action felt automatic. She turned back towards the doorway, but she couldn’t resist looking at Magdalena lying asleep on the sofa. The warm feeling of the woman’s breast was still fresh in her mind.

[You can do whatever you want with her. She’s all yours.]

No, I can’t take advantage of her. That’s immoral.

[No one will know. Why are you denying yourself? You know you want her. You’ve already touched her. You can do more with her.]

I won’t do that again! I won’t listen to you!

Lousia turned back around towards the door and tried to walk away but froze mid step. She bit her lower lip and almost felt like crying. Why was she feeling this way? Without thinking she walked towards the sofa and knelt next to Magdalena, putting her face close to Magdalena’s face and ogling at it. The sleeping woman’s perfume wafted to her nostrils. Her eyes zoomed in on Magdalena’s glossy red lips. Lousia lowered her head and kissed Magdalena’s lips lightly once, then twice, tasting a sweet strawberry flavor each time. Upon the third time Lousia kissed her more deeply and let the kiss linger for a minute while groping the woman’s left breast.

[You can have sex with Magdalena as much as you want.]

With an abrupt movement, Lousia backed away from the sleeping woman, shocked at her own actions. She quickly walked to the kitchen and retrieved the extra knockout potion she had prepared earlier and immediately drank it before sitting on a chair in front of a small table. Her eyes soon felt heavy and she fell asleep, resting her head on her arms. When she woke up, over two hours had passed. It was a quarter after two in the afternoon. Getting up, she walked over to the counter to get water from a pitcher, but stopped when she noticed an unfamiliar face in a small mirror nearby. She touched her cheeks. It was just herself. There was no one else in the room. But, now she now looked like a completely different and much younger woman in her early twenties with medium brown skin and black hair. There was no resemblance to her original appearance at all. Her clothes also felt looser now. What was going on?

Lousia took out the Magical Effects and Conditions reference book and looked up the sections on transmutations and transmogrifications. However, the information wasn’t of much help. There was no known method to reverse transformations where the process was unknown. Transformations from chaotic mixtures are usually temporary, lasting as short as a few seconds, as long as ten years, or even possibly become permanent. The side effects vary from person to person, ranging from benign to debilitating, and could be mental, physical, or both. In rare cases, they would enhance a person’s body and grant them abilities that would normally not have, such as enhanced strength, durability, and the power to use specific magic.

What should she do now? Hearing footsteps from the main area of the shop, Louisa closed the book and hurried out of the kitchen.

Magdalena was looking outside the glass display window and turned around when she noticed a presence behind her. Startled by the unfamiliar woman, she took a step back. “Who are you?!”

“Don’t be afraid, my name is Lousia. I’m here to help you.” Louisa noticed that even her own voice sounded younger. She eyed up Magdalena, who now looked more attractive than before. Never before did she have sexual desire for women. For some reason, she didn’t feel bothered by her new feelings and emotions, even though she knew she should be. They almost felt natural like she had always had them.

“Where am I? How did I get here?”

“You’re in the downtown area of Everville. This is my shop. There was a carriage and wagon accident earlier that resulted in an explosion of the wagon’s magical cargo. A magical fog appeared afterwards and engulfed a large area. You were knocked out by the explosion and lost your memories, but your memories should return in time.”

“I need to go home.”

“Home? Where do you live?”

“I-I don’t remember...but...I think I live around here, and I know I have a husband...and daughter...”

Instinctively, Louisa knew she was telling the truth. She could see vague images in her mind of Magdalena walking together with a faceless man and girl. Walking closer to the woman, Louisa could see more vivid imagery, which included the accident that had occurred earlier as well as what Magdalena had done earlier that day. The visual memories had gaps, but they told Louisa a lot. She was surprised by her sudden discovery of this ability.

“That’s not true.”

“Not true? But, I’m pretty sure—”

“You having a husband and daughter is a false memory implanted in your mind by the Hartelles. It’s just one of many false memories in your mind.”

Magdalena’s eyes and mouth widened at the mention of the name of that noble house.

“False memories?” The bewildered woman wasn’t sure how to process the information.

“Yes, false memories. They’re not real even though you think that they are.”

Magdalena stepped away from Louisa. She felt something inexplicably dangerous about Louisa, and the woman’s leering gaze towards her made her feel uncomfortable. When Lousia took a step forward, Magdalena took another step back.

“Please trust me. I just want to help you.”

Turning around briefly, Magdalena looked at the street outside the window that was blanketed by the dreadful pink fog.

“It’s very dangerous outside. You’re much safer here. Magdalena, I won’t hurt you. You will be safe with me, I promise.” Louisa looked at Magdalena intensely in her eyes.

Despite having amnesia, Magdalena still remembered how to cast some spells. But, before she could do anything, she accidentally made eye contact with Louisa and suddenly found herself unable to move her body fully and thinking became difficult. An unseen force held her in place. She struggled with all her might to move away or even look away. No matter how hard she tried, her body wouldn’t respond, not even a simple action like closing her eyes. Soon she was unable to focus on anything else or think about anything else. The reality around Magdalena seemed to have completely disappeared. Louisa’s eyes were the only things she could see. There was nothing within her vision except the two orbs staring at her.

The more Magdalena stared at Lousia’s eyes, the more enticing she found them to be. She could stare at those magnificent eyes all day long or even forever. It was falling into a warm abyss. There was no need to run or be afraid. There was no need to think. Lousia’s eyes were all that mattered. Slowly, Magdalena’s movements stopped, and she remained standing still in one spot with all expression gone from her face and her eyes staring straight ahead at nothing.

Thrilled at her newfound power that she somehow knew how to use intuitively, she slowly walked closer to Magdalena, who didn’t back away this time, standing still like a lifeless mannequin without any thought or emotion. Lousia raised her right hand to caress the motionless woman’s left cheek for a few moments, then lowering it, grazing her fingers along the woman’s chin, neck, before resting on the woman’s left breast, relishing its warmth and suppleness. Magdalena displayed no visible reaction when Louisa squeezed and gyrated her breast.

Biting her lower lip, Lousia asked, “Magdalena, can you hear me?”

After a delay, the entranced woman replied, “Yes.”

“Do you like what I am doing to you?”

There was another delay before Magdalena replied with a monotone voice, “No, I have no sexual interest in women.”

“That’s a falsehood implanted into your mind by the Hartelles. You are sexually interested in women and only women. That’s the undeniable truth.” Louisa squeezed Magdalena’s breast for emphasis. She concentrated her thoughts deeply, directing them to the vulnerable woman’s mind.

“You speak the undeniable truth. I do have sexual interest in women,” uttered Magdalena like an emotionless automaton.

“You will always obey Louisa Gaunliena.”

“I will always obey Louisa Gaunliena.”

“Serving Louisa Gaunliena is your purpose.”

“Serving Louisa Gaunliena is my purpose.”

Excited by the ease in which she could control Magdalena, perverse thoughts stirred in Louisa’s mind of the sexual possibilities with her and beyond. She wondered about the full extent and duration of her powers.

Louisa cackled with wicked laughter as a purple aura surrounded her body. She slowly raised her hands, filling the storefront with the brilliant color of her aura. The products in her store rattled in their shelves and display cases with some of them falling off and shattering. After the purple glow subsided, Lousia’s appearance changed. Her hair which recently turned pitch black now became waist length and wavy. Her ill-fitting clothing changed into a glossy black leather bra and thong, a satiny black cape with a purple underside. The brown leather loafers she wore were now shiny black high heeled ankle boots. Dark creamy purple lipstick covered her lips, while a shinier purple colored her nails, which became longer and tapered. On her head was a black tiara with purple gemstones. Her body was now well-toned and visibly muscular. She didn’t remember choosing this particular appearance, but it felt to her like she did. Even if she didn’t, she liked how she looked.

The traffic accident was the best thing that had ever happened to her. Before this day she possessed no magical or innate special ability, but the accident gave her powers she could only dreamed of having before. It was a total game changer. From today forward, she won’t have to be fearful of anyone or anything because she was no longer weak and helpless. Perhaps she could even stand toe-to-toe with the powerful nobles.

Turning her attention back to Magdalena, she grabbed the motionless woman by the chin and kissed her on the lips. Using her new psychic power, she directed Magdalena to respond to the kiss in the same way she would kiss her husband. Angling her head, Magdalena pressed her lips strongly against Louisa’s lips and inserted her tongue deeply into Louisa’s mouth.

* * *

Prudence could barely see five feet in any direction. In less than thirty minutes after returning to her mother’s shop the fog had become very thick. She had to walk close to the walls of buildings to know where she was going. Every now and then she would hear voices that were often barely audible, sometimes calling out her name. Knowing that it was certainly the hallucinations that her mother warned about, she tried her best to ignore them. The streets were very quiet, too quiet, although there were sometimes strange noises that unsettled her. She wondered what emergency services were doing. With the fog slowing her down, it would take many hours to get to her destination, so she decided to head for the sewers. At an alley nearby, she removed a manhole cover with an extendable hook and climbed down, closing the manhole cover before climbing down the steel ladder. Despite not using her magi-light, she was surprised that she was able to see in the dark, but with a bluish tinge, and immediately realized it was a feature of the suit. A few palm-sized cockroaches quickly skittered away from her along the walls as she climbed down. As she had guessed, the pink fog was much less dense down in the sewers.

After a while walking through the sewer tunnel, she was beginning to feel light headed. Looking at her magimeter watch, she didn’t notice any unusual readings except for that for the pink fog, which was already much thinner down in the sewers than in the streets above. Before she could proceed any further, a strong feeling of sleepiness overcame her and she quickly lay down on the left side of the tunnel and fell asleep.

Prudence woke up to gnawing sounds and something pushing against her waist. Opening her eyes fully, she screamed at the sight of a giant rat with her pouch partly in its mouth and immediately punched the rat in the head, causing it to squeak loudly and scurry away from her. Examining the damage, she realized that the rat had bitten into the anti-magic bag as well, exposing the magical pendant. She needed to repair the bag immediately, but then she saw something in the distance...

There was a figure lying along the side of the tunnel. She walked closer to examine the figure and noticed that it was an unconscious young woman who wore a dark green hooded cloak with a black and white bandana covering her face.

“Hey miss, are you alright?”

When there was no response after she called to her several times, Prudence knelt down and touched the woman’s neck to check for a pulse, but the woman opened her eyes abruptly and grabbed Prudence’s arm.

“I was just checking to see if you’re alright! Please let me go!”

The woman offered no reply and kept staring at Prudence with cold, expressionless eyes.

[The pendant will help you against the automaton. Wear it now.]

The automaton’s grip was so tight that it made Prudence scream in pain, she fumbled into her pouch with her free hand for the necklace and immediately placed it over her head. Immediately the pendant sank into her fused with her suit. Feeling a sudden surge of power, Prudence rose up and swung her arm that was under the tight hold of the automaton, slamming it against the wall. The automaton immediately released her grip on Prudence and went limp. It landed on the floor of the tunnel with a small splash and crunch. Looking at the unmoving automaton, Prudence how many of these types were out there. This was the first time she had seen one that resembled a real human. Remembering her mother’s warning, Prudence tried to take off the pendant but was unable to find the chain or any part of the pendant.

[I’m part of your suit now. You don’t have to worry, Prudence. I won’t do any harm to you. The explosion from the traffic accident had freed me from the safeguards the Hartelles have installed on this pendant. I’m now acting independently and can help you with your goals and even desires.]

Thank you for saving me from the automaton, but my Mom told me to bring you the Broadleaves for analysis. I can’t use you for my own personal purposes.

[You don’t have to listen to your mom. She doesn’t really care about you. She just wants you away so that she could take advantage of Magdalena.]

No, my Mom does care about me, and it was you that was causing her to act strangely!

[I did nothing except make her aware of her desires that she had buried deep within herself.]

Prudence continued frantically feeling on her neck and chest for the pendant.

[I know you lust for Magdalena as well. You fantasized about having sex with her.]

That’s not true. You made me think about her. It was all your doing!

[Those thoughts were all your own, Prudence.]

A memory came to Prudence of when she first saw Magdalena and immediately noticed that she was a stunningly beautiful woman. Although she distrusted the pendant and was never attracted to women before, she now wondered if there was some truth to what the pendant was saying.

The automaton nearby suddenly stood up. Prudence accidentally slipped when she took a few steps back, causing her to fall to the floor. When she tried to get back up, the automaton pinned her down. Her earlier super strength was gone. The automaton looked at Prudence with her glowing red eyes, giving Prudence an intense headache.

Please help me!

Feeling a surge of super strength again, Prudence pushed the automaton away, sending her flying backwards. The automaton immediately got back up and fired red beams from her eyes, which Prudence narrowly dodged the blast that sent dislodged bricks flying and left a large smoldering pockmark on the wall.

[You’re not strong enough to fight the automaton directly. There is only one way to defeat her. She needs to be reprogrammed.]

But, I don’t know anything about programming automatons.

[I will help you. Just get close enough to grapple her. I will do the rest.]

Prudence ran and lept towards the automaton with both hands outstretched, sending the automaton to the floor. The automaton’s lasers fired to the ceiling, causing bricks and dirt to fall down. Prudence grabbed the automaton’s arms and clamped the automaton’s legs with her own.

[Now kiss her.]

Shocked by the command, Prudence hesitated. The headache that Prudence had felt before now came back. The cause of it seemed to be the automaton’s glowing red eyes.

[You must do it now!]

Lowering her head, Prudence kissed the automaton on the lips. Even with the rigid mask on her face and the layer of magical rubber, she could experience the tactile sensations from the kiss.

[Kiss her as if you’re in love. Push your tongue into her mouth! Quickly, there isn’t much time!]

Prudence was saddened that this was his first kiss with another person. She was hoping that her first kiss would be with another man. But, an automaton wasn’t really a person, so maybe it doesn’t count even though it felt so much like a real one. She was feeling unexpected excitement from the kiss, which she blamed on the rubber suit’s amplification of pleasurable tactile sensations.

[Extend your oral phallus into her mouth.]

What do you mean?!

Not only did the action sound perverse and shocking, she had no idea how to perform it.

[Just think about it like you did before.]

A thick serpentine black phallus went up from somewhere inside her, up her throat, out of her mouth, and into the automaton’s mouth. She wondered how the pendant knew about the strange fantasy she had earlier. Was it able to read minds? As the phallus continued its journey into the automaton’s body, Prudence experienced an onslaught of pleasure that blew away her doubts and hesitation. It was like having a huge clit in the form of an artificial penis. She couldn’t resist moaning in lust. A small amount of liquid squirted out from the tip of the long oral phallus. A warm feeling spread around Prudence’s chest before the pendant exposed itself and jumped onto the automaton’s chest and sank into its body.

[We are done. Now pull out.]

Prudence pulled out the long black member with a feeling of disappointment, followed by shock at her unexpected enjoyment of perverse action. The phallus retreated back inside her body. She never wanted to be like the decadent and unchaste women that work for the Hartelles. She saw herself as a moral and upstanding woman fighting for justice. What she experienced was just unwanted temptation, just like what had happened earlier at her mother’s shop. She needed to remain strong and not be so easily corrupted. Standing back up, she walked back a few steps, wondering what would happen next.

The automaton’s eyes switched from a red to pink light, then the automaton rose up gracefully to speak. “I’m now in control of this automaton. It feels great to have an independent body.”

Hearing the pendant’s voice coming from the automaton gave Prudence goosebumps.

“Please don’t be afraid, Prudence.” The glow in the automaton’s eyes subsided, and the automaton now looked visually human. “As I’ve said before, I just want to help you.”

“I...need to bring you to the Broadleaves...” Prudence’s voice was soft and weak.

“That won’t be necessary. If you have another pendant of similar design, I could transfer the intelligence Broadleaves need into it.”

“B-but how can I get one right now?”

“Not right now...later... What you need to do right now is to escape from here because there are other automatons patrolling both the sewers. They are preventing people from escaping the quarantine.”

“Quarantine? I never heard about that! Why do they need to quarantine?! And how do you know all this?!”

“I know this by reading the automaton’s memories. The fog is more dangerous than emergency services had expected. It has strange effects ranging from psychological to mutagenic and seems to be able to replicate itself as if it were alive.”

“I need to warn my Mom!”

“No, we’re too far away right now. If you go back, you would put both you and your mother in danger. They’re also looking for Magdalena. The first place they would look would obviously be your mother’s shop.”

“I can’t just leave my mom in danger!”

“There’s a way you can protect your mom while also fulfilling her task that she gave you.”

“How?”

“You need to become Magdalena.”

“I don’t understand.”

“The suit you are currently wearing has a secret feature that allows you to mimic the appearance and voice of another person. It can also be implanted with memories.”

“How would impersonating Magdalena be helpful?”

“Once Magdalena reports back to the Hartelles, they will stop looking for her and won’t go to your mom’s shop.”

“B-but this...sounds extremely dangerous! They’ll eventually figure out who I really am, probably very quickly! Is there another way?”

“You said you want your mom to be safe, didn’t you? And besides, it won’t be possible for you to get past the force field they’ve put over this neighborhood without them allowing you to exit it with their permission. Impersonating Magdalena is your only option right now unless you believe you have the power to get past the forcefield and police standing guard outside of it.”

“But, my mom...what would happen to her?”

“As long as she remains inside her shop, she should remain safe.”

“Let me think about this...” Prudence paced around.

“There’s not much time... You need to do it now...” The pendant-automaton stepped in front of the girl and looked at her. A pink glow formed on the pendant-automaton’s eyes. Holding Prudence by the shoulders, she tilted her head and kissed the girl on the lips and held the girl in a tight liplock.

The body of Prudence began to change in shape, color, and texture. New human skin seemed to morph from shiny black rubber. Her body became slightly larger, taller, and more curvy. Her shoulder-length dark brown hair became a teased and wavy golden blonde.

“And we’re done!”

“What happened?” Prudence blinked and tried to recall what had occurred moments before.

“Look at your reflection in the water.”

Gazing downward, Prudence gasped when she noticed her appearance had changed completely to that of Magdalena. She touched her cheeks. It was really herself and not someone else. The rubber suit she was wearing seemed to be completely gone, though she was still wearing her existing clothes which were now poorly fitting.

“Do you like your new look?”

While Magdalena was a beautiful woman, Prudence wasn’t sure how to answer. She couldn’t even remember choosing to take up Magdalena’s appearance, although she was considering it. What happened earlier?

“Of course you do!” The pendant-automaton ran her fingers along the wavy strands of Prudence’s new blonde hair, giving the girl sharp tingles of pleasure. “You are now Magdalena!”

But, even if she didn’t remember, it seemed now like the most obvious choice to make. The other choice of doing nothing was worse.

“I am Magdalena...” Prudence didn’t know why she said that. It seemed to come to her automatically.

“Yes, and from now on you won’t go by the name Prudence anymore, only Magdalena.”

“How long will I have to be her?”

“Once they allow you to pass through the force field, they will likely debrief you on Magdalena’s task. Afterwards, they might give you another task or return you back to the place you’ve been staying at. You would have to wait for chances to escape.”

“But, I don’t know what Magdalena knows.”

“You do now possess some of her memories and knowledge. Some of them have been transferred to you. You will go through a more thorough transformation later.”

Disjointed, brief memories came to Prudence-Magdalena. She saw herself walking along the bridge before the accident had occurred, riding in a fancy carriage with some noblewomen, and...embracing a maid...kissing her...touching her...and... Not wanting to continue with the recall, she shook her head. Even if she needed to become Magdalena, Prudence-Magdalena didn’t want to think like Magdalena.

“Don’t fight it, Magdalena, or else you’ll disrupt the impersonation process.”

“It just feels...overwhelming...”

“Only in the beginning...you’ll get used to it soon...Now let’s head back up to the surface...”

“Head back up? Isn’t it safer down here?”

“Not with the automatons patrolling around here. It would be harder to escape them if we happen to encounter another one down here. And besides, we need to get you new clothes.”

* * *

At a woman’s fashion boutique, Prudence-Magdalena protested the pendant-automaton’s choice of clothing for her.

“Why do I have to wear lingerie? I won’t be showing them my body.”

“You’ll never know what will happen. If you don’t play it safe, you’ll risk losing not only your life, but your mother’s as well.”

“Wait, do you mean they might make me—”

“Yes, you might have to engage in sexual activities. They will suspect you if they notice you’re wearing drab underwear.”

“No way, I can’t do that! I’ll just run away as soon as I get past the forcefield! I won’t do any of the perverse activities that the Hartelles engage in.”

“They’ll capture you easily. The Hartelles are very persistent. You need to be patient and wait for the right time to escape from them.”

The pendant-automaton’s eyes glowed brightly pink. Prudence-Magdalena tried to say something more but stopped, thinking that it’s better to not protest further. What the pendant-automaton said was very reasonable. Without prompting, the girl took off all of her clothing and allowed the pendant-automaton to put the black satin bra with red embroidered rosettes and lace trimming and black satin panties on her. They then walked to the full length mirror nearby.

“These look good on you.” The pendant-automaton placed her head on the girl’s right shoulder so that they were touching cheek-to-cheek, then cupped the girl’s right breast with one hand. “You look so pretty and...sexy...”

Prudence-Magdalena tried to clench her fists but relaxed after seeing the pink glow from the pendant-automaton’s eyes in the mirror. The woman was right, the lingerie did look good on her. Normally, she wouldn’t want to wear such underwear, but this time it felt exciting to put them on. Hearing the pendant-automaton’s voice made her heart flutter. She’s very much like a real human and not a machine. A soft moan came out of Prudence-Magdalena’s mouth.
