Inky

Bright lights above my head, cool metal beneath me.

What had happened?

The last thing I could remember was walking home, taking a short-cut across the field between my house and my friend’s house, where we’d been up watching movies till late. But now, I was here. My vision was still blurry, but the lights above me and the metal beneath me made me think I was in some kind of medical setting. Did something happen on my walk home that put me in hospital? I wasn’t in any pain, and my limbs responded when I tried to move them, but in doing so I realised that they were held down by metal bands. It was at this point I realised my comfy jeans and tshirt were gone. I was quite naked.

Blinking away the last of the blurriness from my vision I attempted to sit up and look at the rest of my body. I got a couple of inches off whatever kind of metal “bed” I was on before my neck hit the metal band just above it. I strained to look around and see if there was anyone I could ask for help but was met with an empty room. From my position on the bed I could only see shining white walls around me, and the ceiling, which was glowing. I realised now that there were no distinct light strips or bulbs, the ceiling was glowing with bright light across its entire surface. This was quite unlike any hospital I’d ever been in, and what kind of medical establishment restrains someone like this and then leaves them completely alone? But if this wasn’t a hospital then where was I? A cold dread seeped through me as I tried not to consider the alternatives.

The ceiling pulsed yellow, and a metal straw rose up out of the bed just beside my head. It snaked over to my mouth and pressed itself against my lips. No matter how much I squirmed around or tried to turn away it just gently guided itself back over to my mouth and rested against my tightly pressed lips. Eventually the straw pulled back from my mouth. I was halfway through a confused sigh of relief when the straw suddenly darted towards and then up my nose. I cried out and thrashed about pathetically as liquid tricked down my throat and I was reminded of the awful feeling of having water rush up your nose while swimming. After a couple of seconds the straw mercifully retracted and poised itself above my mouth again. I apprehensively parted my lips and the straw inserted itself between them. Drinking through a straw while lying down was awkward but infinitely preferable to having the liquid (which appeared to just be water) pumped through one’s nose. I swallowed and the straw retracted.

After some amount of time (it’s rather difficult to keep track in a blank room) I heard something move behind me. It sounded as though a door had slid open and by straining my neck around to look, I could see a gap in the wall and a figure stepping through it. They looked vaguely like a doctor, but something was off. Behind the bright white scrubs and surgical mask their eyes were jet black and cold looking. They walked to beside my bed and gestured at the floor. A pillar rose straight up from the ground and the figure proceeded to sit on it.

“Uh, hi? What is this?” I stammered

The doctor figure tilted their head and looked me up and down, as if taking me apart with their eyes.

“This is our processing facility” They replied, their voice neutral and measured.

“Uh, what does that mean? Who are you? Why am I here?” my voice growing more panicked with each question.

“It means it’s the place where we process, you may address me as Halo, you are here to be processed” their tone was matter of fact, as if the words they were saying weren’t at all concerning.

“Can I leave? I just want to go home”

“That won’t be necessary”

“I, uh, it’s pretty necessary to me?”

“Once you’ve been processed you won’t feel that way”

Was I talking to a real person here? Was this a weird joke? Was it a dream? I tried hard to focus on waking up but nothing happened.

Halo pulled out a jar from their pocket and unscrewed it to reveal a clear gel. I noticed the ceiling turning orange as they stuck a gloved finger in and started applying the gel to my naked breasts. I struggled uselessly against the restraints, trying to squirm away.

“Stop it! What the fuck!” I protested, but Halo ignored me and carried on smoothing the gel over me.

My nipples began to perk up from the combination of the attention and the coolness of the gel. Halo took particular interest in this and began to pinch and twist them, causing me to gasp in pain and struggle harder against the cold metal keeping me firmly in place. The gel began to warm on my skin, making my breasts feel fuzzy. My mind too, began to feel fuzzy.

“Very good,” murmured Halo, “I think you’ll be an excellent host”

What did that mean?

Halo put a hand on my shoulder.

“Relax” they said, and then my world turned dark.

I awoke… some amount of time later, in the same room. Halo was no longer here. My breasts felt sensitive and exposed. In fact all of me felt sensitive and exposed. The ceiling pulsed yellow again and the straw rose up beside me. Remembering how unpleasant last time had been, I hesitated only slightly before parting my lips and sipping from it. As far as I could tell it was still just water, cool and refreshing and I realised that my throat had been quite dry.

The straw retracted and I heard the sound of the door opening again. Halo stepped through, from the wall in front of my bed this time.

“You’ve responded well to processing so far” they said, almost proudly, “we’re going to start calling you Inky”

Their words confused me, I already had a name and I wasn’t about to start calling myself Inky at the request of some stranger who’d kidnapped me. The ceiling pulsed yellow and I heard the straw again. I opened my mouth and then shut it, this was too weird and I needed more answers.

“Listen,” I said while trying to avoid the straw and keep my mouth as closed as possible “I don’t know what’s going on here but I want out, just let me go and I won’t tell anyone about this”

The straw grew impatient and headed towards my nose, I panicked and immediately opened my mouth for it, which it then entered. While I drank, Halo walked towards me and placed a hand on my thigh. Their touch sent shivers crawling over my body.

“It is interesting” they said, “that you think you’re in any position to be asking things of me, Inky”

“M-mmmy name is-n’t Inky” I attempted to speak around the straw “It’s—“ at this point the ceiling pulsed red and the straw suddenly spurted much more water into my mouth. I choked for a few seconds before it relented and the straw retracted.

“We generally find it helpful for our processing participants to accept their new name, it makes everything easier” Halo said “Now, we need to begin the next stage.”

Halo produced another jar of clear gel and I braced myself. This time their attention was focused between my legs. The ceiling pulsed blue and the bands around my legs started moving apart, spreading them as I desperately tried to clench my thighs together.

Halo pushed a single, gloved finger, coated in the gel, into my front hole and locked their eyes with mine. I squirmed and tried to pull away but the metal restraints held me in place.

“What the fuck!” I squealed

“The more you struggle the longer this takes” Halo replied, their calm tone doing nothing to appease me

“I’m a human being you fuck! You can’t do this to me! What the fuck!” I shouted, tears beginning to swell as Halo inserted another finger and began to massage the gel inside me.

“You can’t! You! You…” I trailed off and began stifling cries as it became apparent that nothing was going to stop this violation of my body. The warm fuzzy feeling was back, spreading from between my thighs down to my toes. My breathing slowed as the feeling gradually intensified and my brain began to feel the effects too. Halo’s probing became almost, pleasurable? My mind fogged and I felt my hips involuntarily thrusting up onto their fingers. No! I tried to snap myself back but it was like wading through treacle and I was so very tired.

After what seemed like an age, Halo withdrew their fingers and disposed of their gloves. I couldn’t help but let out a whimper at the lack of something inside me.

“Good Inky, you’ve got potential” Halo nodded at me, almost… proudly?

“I… I’m not Inky” I struggled to remember what my name was, my actual name, what was it?

“Are you sure about that?” Halo tilted his head and smiled at me.

“I… um,” I stammered. My name was… it was… it was behind a layer of fog that I just couldn’t break through. My body felt so very heavy. What was I trying to remember?

“I think it’s time for you to go to sleep, Inky,” lilted Halo.

Yes, sleep, that sounded like a wonderful idea.

For the third time I woke up facing a white ceiling, on a metal bed, wearing nothing at all. This time however, there were no restraints on the bed. I propped myself up on my elbows to double check, and, for the first time, sat up, my feet hanging over the edge of the bed. Cautiously, I stood up and took a few steps towards the wall. It was cool to the touch with no defining features. Just continuous and solid white, seeming to blend seamlessly into the floor and ceiling. I stared at it for a while, my mind feeling just as blank.

I sat back down on the bed, having exhausted all the activities I could think of doing with my new found freedom. The ceiling pulsed yellow. I opened my mouth instinctively and was rewarded with a straw in my mouth. The straw was thicker this time, and the fluid more viscous. I realised it must have been some time since I last ate and that this was probably some kind of food. I swallowed and the straw retracted.

The now familiar sound of someone entering the room prompted me to turn around and see not Halo, but a slightly shorter figure in the same white scrubs, sans mask, with the same unnervingly solid black eyes. The door had, once again, sealed shut without a trace of where it had been.

“Hello Inky, Halo tells me you’re doing well with your processing, I’m Aster” Aster introduced themself.

I nodded and smiled, it was nice to do well at things. A nagging feeling that something wasn’t quite right tugged at the back of my mind but I couldn’t place it. Why did I need to place it anyway? Halo had said I was doing well.

“Now, we’re just going to do a little test to make sure you’re ready for the next stage,” Aster smiled. The ceiling pulsed yellow and I opened my mouth.

“Well done!” Aster praised me as they put on some gloves from their pocket and then stuck two gloved fingers in my mouth and began to probe around. I couldn’t help drooling slightly and my cheeks flushed red as I dribbled on my naked breasts.

“No need to be embarrassed Inky, you’re doing so well” Aster continued to praise me as they explored my mouth, causing me to gag slightly as they pushed further down my throat.

Aster withdrew their fingers and wiped up the drool with a tissue.

“And now the next one” Aster continued.

The ceiling flashed blue. I hesitantly opened my legs, then stopped. I could feel the fog clearing in my mind. Why was I here? Aster sensed my apprehension and quickly smoothed some gel onto my thighs.

“There there,” they cooed, “it’s okay.”

Yes… yes it was okay. Why wouldn’t it be. I happily opened my legs fully and realised that my front hole was leaking.

“Very good! Now let’s try this one…”

The ceiling pulsed orange. I frowned as I tried to remember what I was meant to do, before realising that my nipples had perked up and felt incredibly sensitive. That was it! I smiled, my body barely needed my brain to guide it any more.

Aster started smoothing more gel all over me and I leaned into their touch, loving the sensation and how fuzzy it made me feel. My thoughts seemed to drift away and I saw no reason to try to get them back. My mouth opened involuntarily and I registered that the ceiling was yellow. Then my legs, I discovered that I no longer needed my brain to guide my actions. What was the point of thinking anyway? It was much easier to just let go completely. The ceiling was a beautiful kaleidoscope of colour and my body was simply reacting to it.

After an uncertain amount of time the ceiling stopped changing. Halo’s face appeared above me.

“Now then, I think you are ready to hear why we brought you here, Inky” they said, “you see, our species,” Halo nodded towards Aster, who had also at some point entered the room “needs hosts to incubate our young, and your species happens to be perfect for that, we think you’ll do a very good job” I stared blankly at Halo. Their mouth made such pretty shapes when they talked.

“Why do you even bother with this bit Halo?” Aster sighed and rolled their eyes, “do you think they can even understand it at this point?”

What did that mean? I could understand, Halo was saying… what was Halo saying? Did I need to do something?

Aster looked at me, “Raise your right leg” they directed. I complied and instantly felt much more at ease. I understood things. I knew what I was doing.

“There, they only need to know basic commands, can we skip the explanation? I must have heard it 100 times by now” Aster shifted their weight impatiently. Halo sighed.

“Okay, Inky lower your right leg, very good” Halo instructed. I beamed, I was doing such a good job. “We’re just going to get something and we’ll be right back, don’t move” they continued, then both Halo and Aster left the room.

I didn’t move. I was doing a good job.

Halo and Aster entered the room again. It sounded like they were rolling something large along with them, but I hadn’t been told to look at them, or it, so I didn’t.

Ceiling, blue, legs. Something probed inside me. Cold, metallic, reaching deeper, and deeper. I looked to Halo for reassurance. They nodded at me and I felt a surge of pride. I was doing a good job. I could feel the probe expanding inside me, it swelled and then something was pushed out of it and into my womb. Then another one, and another, and another. I began to see my stomach expand as it was pushed outwards by so many of these… things. I began to panic slightly, fighting through clouds of mist in my mind to try to remember what Halo had said, something about… hosts? Incubators? Wait were these-

“No thoughts Inky, you don’t need to think,” Aster rested a hand on my shoulder as they spoke, “you’re doing such a good job.”

I stayed still, mind blank, no need to think.

I could hear Halo and Aster talking to each other, but their words no longer held any meaning to me

I smiled vacantly at the ceiling.

I was Inky. I was doing a good job.
