Blood Chronicles III — Blood Boil

Synopsis: After their spaceship crashes, Helen and some survivors find themselves on a strange alien world.

Chapter One

“I’m Pastor Rolf” the man said as he held out his hand

“Helen Chambers” Helen smiled as she took it

“I’m Eve” Eve said, “And this is my husband Peter”

“We’re the Cartwrights” Peter added

“And who’s that?” Rolf said as they watched a man walking off in the distance

“I think he said his name is Simon” Peter said. “He claims he found some tracks”

“What kind of tracks?” Helen asked

“Footprints” Peter shrugged “I think”

“Where are we?”

“Penumbra” Rolf said

“What?” Eve asked

“That’s what Helen called it”

“You know this place?”

“No… no!” Helen smiled, “I don’t know it’s called Penumbra—I just said it to describe it… or rather that…” she said pointing to the shadow land just close by

“How is that possible?” Peter said

“Different world, different reality?” Eve said as if she read that pithy line in a magazine

“You just read that somewhere” Peter said dismissively

Eve looked at her husband with daggers. She hated him putting her down.

“Simon!” Rolf called. Simon ignored them. He headed further away from the shadow boundary. He seemed excited by something he could see—but they could not.

Helen felt it—the heat. She looked to Rolf and he noticed it too

It was getting very hot very quickly. Really quickly.

“What’s happening?” Eve asked, concerned

“I think we better move into the shadows” Helen said

“What about Simon?” Eve asked

“Come on” Peter said to his wife grabbing her hand and started to practically drag her with him.

They headed across—only about 50 metres from where they stood. Helen stopped and noticed Rolf wasn’t following. He was still trying to get Simon’s attention

“Rolf” she called with more urgency.

No response

“Pastor Rolf” she called, “You’ve got to come!”

He turned. She signalled “Come, quick…”

She stepped into the shadowland and immediately felt a difference in temperature. It was moderate. She put her hand back across to test it and it was like putting her hand into a hothouse. It fascinated her. It was not scientifically possible, she thought.

Rolf saw Simon jumping about. Suddenly Simon burst into flames, or rather his clothes.

Rolf couldn’t believe it.

He felt the heat increase. He turned and ran

Peter, Eve, and Helen urged him to hurry

It burned

His clothes began smouldering

His skin ached

He only just made it into the shadows—his skin burned, his clothes ruined.

He managed to turn to look for Simon. What was once Simon was a small smouldering pile of ash and bones

“What is this place?” Peter said

“I don’t know” Helen said, but I think we should stay by this border

“Why?”

“Just in case night time we need to return back into the warmth”

“Surely you’re not trying to suggest that the only place we’re going to stay on this planet is right along here”

“I’m not saying anything of the sort” Helen said “We just need to be careful till we understand where we’re at”

“Please, hon” Eve said to her husband “Let’s not fight”

“Sure.. okay” he said, “Take her side!”

Eve hated her husband sometimes

They found some wreckage from the ship and Peter and Rolf managed to re-arrange some to make a shelter.

They huddled together for warmth, as footsteps approached

Chapter Two

Ophelia and Michael Stubbs found Helen and her group the following morning. They were also from the ship. Colonists—well they’d planned to be.

The couple had found themselves about two kilometres away, in the shadowland when they had seen the curtain of light and had headed towards it.

Along the way they saw a village

“What kind of village?” Helen asked

“A primitive one” Michael shrugged

“Were there people?” the Pastor asked

“Yes, we saw people”

“Are they aliens? Eve asked “I bet they’re aliens”

Peter looked at his wife embarrassed

“They looked like us” Michael said, “Only a little bit smaller. Almost like children.”

They chatted for some time about what to do.

They decided by a vote to go back to the village. They hoped that the ‘aliens’ were not hostile

Helen was surprised by the village. The people were humanoid… she thought that this was impossible… how could primitive humans be here on this other world? The adult men and women were shorter than they were. Some women almost looked like children… except for their shape, and pubic hair.

The tribe were also curious about them… but in a sense they seemed less so. Helen thought that maybe they’d met people like her before.

Eve thought it was because they’d been ‘escorted in’… they’d been found, on their way to the village.

The companions from the ship had been startled by the hunters who found them. The hunters were friendly. They spoke a language no one understood, but through signs and gestures urged her and her friends to follow

Pastor Rolf was eager. Peter and Eve less so.

As they entered the village the people came out and inspected them; curiosity only. There was no hostility. Someone grabbed Eve’s dress and peered under it

“Hey!” she growled

Peter snarled at them.

“Maybe they’re just seeing what we are?” Helen said

A number of hands felt through her top, to her breasts. They were impressed by their size.

They wore animal skins and some woven materials. Helen noticed that the woven material looked like cotton. She could not imagine how a people so backward had fabric like that.

“What do you think?” Rolf asked

“I don’t know” Helen said, “It’s like we’ve gone back in time 100,000 years”

“Yes, they are quite backward”

“I mean it…” Helen said

“What?”

“That explosion—it may have torn a hole in space-time”

“What?” Rolf repeated

“We could be anywhere, any place in the universe, and any time” Helen mused aloud

“And why do you think we ended up here… on Penumbra?” Eve asked

“So you’re going to call it that?” Peter asked

“Why not?” she shrugged

“And what of these… these “Penumbrans then”?” Rolf asked

“They don’t seem hostile” Helen said “But somethings are amiss” as Peter and Eve moved away

“Like what?” Rolf asked

“Well they seem like they’re Stone Age… but some of the things they have are more … ‘modern’… if I could describe it like that”

“Let her go!” Peter suddenly yelled

Helen and Rolf turned to see a group of women pawing over Eve.

“What’s going on?” Rolf said as he went to them

Peter grabbed a spear and held it menacingly

The tribe seemed to grow hostile too

“Let them go” came a voice. He said that in English, and then in the language of the”Penumbrans”

The newcomers turned to see an old man emerge from one of the huts

“You?” Peter said, “You speak our language?”

“Yes of course” Lou Rolls said

“Who? Who are you?” Rolf asked

“I am captain Lou Rolls” he said, “Captain of Concord VII”

“That’s the ship we were on!” Peter gasped. It seemed too hard to believe. The captain was an old man, wearing the costume of the primitives

“I met you!” Peter said, “You can’t be him”

“I am”

“How long have you been here?” Helen asked

“Twenty-three years” he said

Helen nodded. It made sense to her that people from the ship, in a space-time rift might end up here (or other places) at different points in time.

From their perspective of where they were it was very possible that people might arrive as they did—but in the future.

“We just got here” Helen said

“Then you don’t know about the Harvest?” Lou said, as if that was some thing to dread

“No” Helen said

“What’s the Harvest?” Rolf asked

“You may have wished to have died in the explosion” Lou said as he began to recount what happened over twenty years ago…

Chapter Three

Lou began to tell them about the first harvest they’d encountered.

Lou had woken with a terrible headache. Katerina was hovering over him, tending to a wound on his arm

“What?” he gasped

“Steady, captain” she cooed.

“Where am I?”

“That’s a good question” Norton said

“Norton?” Lou gasped, “You’re alive”

“Barely” he laughed

“Who else has survived?” he said as he tried to sit up. Suddenly he grew faint and fell backwards, Katerina catching him and stopping him concussing his head again

“You must not try and move” she gently scalded him.

“Okay. Okay” he gasped, “But I must know what has happened to my ship… my crew… our passengers”

Norton stood up. “We’ve got forty people so far…” he said

“Only forty survived?”

“No… we lost eight on the first day…” Norton said

“What? How?”

“This world… “ Norton said, “It’s not like any other… there’s this strange border between light and shadow…”

“Huh?”

“We’re in the shadowlands (that’s what we’re calling them) now”

“You need to rest now” Katerina said

“No! No!” Lou said, “I must know more…”

“Captain! Captain!” came a cry

“What’s happening?” Lou gasped

“I… I don’t know Captain” Norton said. He turned towards the deeper shadows and suddenly he said “What the fuck is that?”

A humanoid rode up on a beast unlike any other. It was not a horse, a lot fatter—if it weren’t for it’s head it might have appeared like a rhino it was that large.

It rode into the midst of the people. And then they could see what appeared to be a man, shorter than most. And his eyes—totally black

He wore a strange dark suit—almost akin to a wet-suit in its fit upon him. Like a black film.

“Who are you?” he said… only he did not open his mouth

They heard him, in their heads. And, they heard him in English.

He looked to Norton. “Who are you?”

“I’m 1st Mate Ted Norton” Norton said verbally

“You… you speak?” the man said, still in their minds. He seemed fascinated that the people there communicated verbally.

“And you?” he said turning to Katerina

“Katerina Poterpevshiy” she said

“You wear this strange garb” he said, “What kind of creatures are you?”

“I am human” Katerina said

“Take off your clothes” he said

Suddenly Katerina began undressing

“Katerina!” Lou cried

Norton turned to see her, and was amazed too, to see her undress.

“Katerina!” Norton said, “Stop that”

Katerina could not stop herself as the man with black eyes commanded her. She stood there her eyes fixed on his as she undressed.

“Do not interfere” the man said, gazing at Norton. Norton suddenly fell to the ground screaming in pain, clutching his head

“Please… make it stop!” he cried

“What’s happening?” Lou gasped “What? How are yo…”

“Be quiet” the man said

Suddenly Lou found himself unable to speak too as pain ripped through his mind.

Katerina stood there naked. She looked at them confused.

“You are like out cattle, only a little larger” the man smiled “You are on my land, you’re now my property. You. I will take you” he said holding out his hand towards Katerina.

“Please” she begged

She looked to Norton and Lou for help

“Come” he said in her mind and her mostly naked body went to him.

Katerina reached up and he pulled her onto his beast, so she sat behind him.

He turned around and rode off.

There was great constellation amongst the party of survivors

The next day Lou and his party met the villagers…

But first…

Katerina clutched onto Matak as he rode back to his village. He leaped to the ground off his beast and turned to her. She fell into his arms.

The villagers gathered around to see their Lord and his stranger.

Kyok, his chief concubine came running down

“Master?” she called

“Take this woman and strip her and ready her”

“Yes, Master”

“Please, don’t hurt me” Katerina cried

“You are mine” Matak said looking into her eyes “You will obey me”

“Yes, I will obey you” she said, and became docile as she was lead away she began to cry. She didn’t know why she was obeying him. A part of her knew it was not right

Matak ordered several men of the village to come to him. One, Ban was young and handsome

Matak turned him around and made him bend over. Matak was rock hard and he fucked Ban’s asshole right there in front of everyone. Ban cried in pain, but his own cock grew hard as he was ass-raped. Then Matak bent over him, turned his neck and bit into him. His fangs cutting easily into Ban’s flesh. Ban came as Matak fed from him.

The vampire released him and then he drew another male to him and fed. The second man’s cock went hard as Matak fed from him.

Katerina stood by a primitive looking bed of stretched hides covered in furs. Matak came in, blood on his cock. Kyok ran to him, fell on her knees and cleaned him with her mouth.

“Get onto the bed” he ordered Katerina. She did as she was told.

He eyed her. She was clean-shaven. He only saw clean-shaven on children and asked her her age as it made him curious. She also had a thing there, like a circle. He felt it. It was of a material that was hard, and cool. He’d never seen any such thing

“27” she said

“Why do you not have hair around your slit?”

“I shaved”

“What?”

She turned to him “Where I am from… when I am from…. this is normal”

“What do you mean when are you from?”

And then she explained what had happened.

Matak would not have believed her except he knew she was compelled to tell the truth.

He recalled how centuries ago there had been a flash in the sky. The one they’d seen only a few days ago—both maybe from the same ship—having exploded and torn the fabric of the universe pieces of it had fallen to this world at different periods of time.

He was fascinated. But then he decided to fuck her, his cock almost growling for more relief. Katerina had never been stretched so much by such a large cock and she cried as he fucked her, but a part of her could not resist him.

He fucked her and then poured so much come into her that her stomach became distended. She came like she’d never come before and as she looked into his eyes she knew he was her Master.

Matak decided to take her to the vampire king. This new matter was important, he thought.

Katerina held onto him with love and affection as they rode to the ‘capital’.

Chapter Four

“But what is she?” Tok asked as she circled Katerina

“She is like our cattle” Matak said

“Have you tasted her?” Attu said, stepping down from his throne. None of the vampires spoke except by their minds.

“I have, my Lord” Matak said, pulling Katerina’s hair back he showed the marks on her throat.

“And?”

“She is as palatable as our cattle” Matak smiled, and she was. He’d fed from her on the journey and her blood was delicious. He did not know why—but it was because she was healthy, and disease free.

Katerina stood there, in the middle of a large wooden hut. It was long, with two large seats made of hewn logs at one end; the thrones.

“Did you fuck her?” Tok asked

“Yes” he said, “She’s just as tight as the cattle” he smiled

“I wonder can they be seeded?” she asked, hopefully. It was her one great regret that since she had been bonded and had become vampire she could not have children. She’s fucked her brother many times, and had many of the cattle fuck her and in the millennia she’d lived; seeing generations of men born, live, and die, she’d been unable to conceive. None of the vampires could have children.

The cattle Katerina stood there naked as she had been since Matak took her. Only she was comfortable now, because her Master commanded it.

She bore two small puncture marks on her throat from where Matak had bitten her and fed, but other than that she was as she had been found. And she still had crusted blood on her inner thigh where she’d bled from being raped by such a large tool.

She stood at attention, unable to do anything but as she was commanded.

“I would like to try her” Attu said as he felt her buttocks. They were larger and rounder than the ones he’d been accustomed to fucking.

“That is not our law, your law” Matak said. It was their law not to pinch each other’s cattle. “She bears my mark… as you can see”

Attu turned to Matak. Matak sensed Attu’s growing rage

“My Lord” he bowed.

“He is right, my brother” Tok said stepping forward.

“It is MY LAW” Attu said angrily, “I will do with it as I will”

“But…” Matak tried again, then backed away

“Katerina” Attu said. She turned stiffly towards him “I am your master” he said

“Do you understand?”

“Yes, Master” she said. She accepted it so easily.

Matak backed away, fuming that a law—established by mutual agreement of the vampires, held sacred for 200,000 years would be thrown away so casually. He began to leave the long house

He turned from the door to see Attu fucking what was once his property. Katerina was crying out in pain as her ass bore the brunt of Attu’s large member.

Tok masturbated. She stopped and looked up at Matak. She spoke into his mind alone—something seldom done. She was sympathetic but she would not defy her brother either

Matak nodded and departed. But he was not going to leave it there.

It was unusual for the vampires to have private thoughts. Since they’d acquired the powers of the mind they tended to hear each others thoughts, when they were close by

It meant that none held secrets from the others

None of them could plot against any other

And thus they lived by the laws, and in peace, and had done for years.

Matak decided to head back to his home… the planet was divided amongst the vampires. Each owned a thousand villages, and the cattle inside them.

Matak went first to his own long house. There two women—a mother and a daughter met him with their loving bodies. As he fucked them, and then fed from them he still fumed at this insult to his prestige.

He called a young man then to his bed and he enjoyed fucking his virgin asshole, the man’s cries of pain were like sauce to his meal.

He decided to return to where the newcomers were and start to enslave them.

Chapter Five

The newcomers, the ship’s survivors were guided to the village and welcomed there. They were treated like long time friends. Lou was carried in a make-shift stretcher because of his injuries.

The people there seemed primitive, but were warm, and giving.

Matak arrived amongst them without notice, milling about he could be mistaken for any other villager (unless you were close enough to see his eyes)

Norton saw him first and recognised him. He went up to Matak “What have you done with Katerina” he demanded

Matak was not used to having cattle talk to him this way

“Silence!” Matak said; his mind shouting into Norton’s head.

As Norton squealed on the ground in pain Matak thought of raping him. He then went into Norton’s mind—deeper—to see if the man was a virgin… at least as far as cock was concerned

As Matak looked into Norton’s mind and was shocked… strange things… flying things, things made of materials he could not understand.

“What is this?” he asked

Norton shivered as his mind was probed

Matak saw visions of what the future world looked like

Machines they were called.

Matak would have some of this ‘technology’. He thought for a moment that he might be able to rid himself of Attu.

Matak embraced Norton, he bit into the man’s neck and drew some blood. Norton, besides himself grew rock hard as he was enslaved.

Matak knew he must present these new people to the vampire king but he would not

But Attu had discovered the same things himself, through his contact with Katerina’s mind. Attu had probed her mind and had seen the future too.

Attu marvelled at the wondrous inventions he saw in their minds. For him, at first it was magic; a magic he wished to harness.

The matter was settled when Attu demanded that some of the new cattle also be sent to him. Matak could do only but comply

The enslaved began to work; to replicate their future world on his planet.

With a decade the landscape had changed. From a wooden long-house to a towering palace. Outer buildings rose too, and with these changes the population began to rise too.

Cattle, a symbol of wealth. Attu has a vast heard, housed in and around his palace.

The slave-soldiers became armed with electro-pulse weapons, instead of spears. And they rode on beasts of metal, not flesh. More impressive—they flew. These new devices took them to the air.

All the while Attu never grasped the science. He appreciated the ability to further his power, but there was never any subtlety to him

A simple plan; rule. Rule at all cost.

Rule everyone.

Rule everywhere.

This new magic was harnessed not because of his love of modernity, but for his love of power. Power was everything to him.

He began to imagine expanding into the Sun World. The lands of light—he knew that there were cattle who lived precariously in the heat.

From what he gathered they lived in caves, or burrowed underground to escape the Sun Drench.

Could they be conquered, corralled, and consumed?

Chapter Six

Twenty years later another flash in the sky. Matak knew that others might have arrived. It was why he had headed out himself again.

The world that Helen had arrived in had undergone twenty years of change. Helen realised that the ship, in the explosion had ruptured through space-time and had crashed in pieces, in various epochs. For whilst the explosion had happened to the ship at the same time the ship’s pieces had crashed in different times. She realised that some pieces might, from her perspective crash in the future.

The majority of people lived in their villages, but the vampires—they lived in cities. They had comfortable beds. Entertainments. Orgies with their cattle in splendid halls of shiny metal. The first arrival of future people had transformed their society, as had the original crash transformed some completely.

Helen found herself staring into souless black eyes. She shivered. Matak smiled as he drew her to him. He had seen breasts like hers only on the newcomers, and their spawn—for he had made them breed. If he could not have children himself, his cattle could.

Helen’s mouth went down around his cock. She was a lesbian, but his mind compelled her to suck him off. And she did. She did so because he commanded it.

She drank down his come.

Matak did not forget that Tok had been sympathetic. He sent her some cattle. Then decided to try and build an alliance with Bela too.

Rolf was given to Bela.

As he was lead away he tried to think of the woman he’d arrived with, but Helen’s memory seemed like it was put in a compartment that he could not access.

The same for Helen—as she was lead to Matak’s ‘capital’ she could not recall the people she’d come with.

She held onto him, happy she was his slave
